June is gay pride month and Jerusalem’s Pride and Tolerance march took place on Thursday. This year’s march took on a political tone as the parade route took marches to Israel’s parliament. While LGBT people have more civil rights in Israel than many other countries in the Middle East, attendees said there’s still a lot of room for progress. FRANCE 24’s Monte Francis explains.
