US federal authorities arrested social media influencer brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate, the AP and CNN reported late Saturday.
Marshals Service spokesman Brady McCarron told The Associated Press that the warrant has been sealed.
Prosecutors in Britain said Saturday they have sought the extradition of the brothers on rape and sex trafficking charges.
Malcolm McHaffie, head of the Special Crimes Division at the Crown Prosecution Service, said, “We have decided to prosecute Andrew and Tristan Tate for other offenses including rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation and offenses relating to indecent images of a child.”
