Airport officials said that an American military aircraft carrying 104 exiled Indian migrants arrived in the northern Indian city of Amritsar on Wednesday.
After action on illegal immigration by US President Donald Trump, this is the first batch of exile in India.
Indians returning home illegally entered the United States for years. They arrive mainly from the states of Punjab, Haryana and Gujarat in northern and western India, citing official sources.
Officials of the Indian Foreign Ministry have said that the country is open to return illegally verified Indian national life in any country including America.
New Delhi says it is against illegal immigration, mainly because it is associated with various forms of organized crime, and the US has no object to deport its citizens.
Modi, Trump to meet in Washington
Exile came ahead of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s expected visit to Washington next week.
In a recent phone call, Modi discussed immigration with Trump among other issues, and this is like this to come back to his prescribed conversation next week.
During the call, Trump emphasized India’s importance to buy more American-made security equipment and fair bilateral trade.
The Pew Research Center estimates that around 725,000 Indians lived illegally in the US in 2022. It is expected to be more and more deported.
Modi and Trump have a hot relationship, and once Nayak gave a large -scale rally in Texas in 2019 “Hody, Modi!” Said.
