US Vice President JD Vance has increased its criticism of free speech status in Europe, which combines hate speech laws with American military appearance in Germany.
Vance commented at a conference of conservative activists and politicians on Thursday near Washington DC.
Earlier this month, a similar comment by Vance at the Munich Suraksha Sammelan, where he gave a lecture to European leaders about democracy and free speech, met with strong rebels, including German Chancellor Olaf Sholaz.
What did Vance say this time?
Vance mentioned Washington’s prolonged military deployment in Germany and how he felt that American service personnel could be affected by the country’s abusive language laws.
“There are thousands of American soldiers in Germany today. Do you think American taxpayers are going to stand for it, if you are thrown to post a mean tweet in jail in Germany? Of course, they are not, they are not, “He told the workers at the conservative political action conference.
“The entire rescue of Germany is subsidized by the American taxpayer,” he claimed.
The US Vice President insisted that the US has continued to “coalition” with the CPAC’s model Mercedes SHLAP, “I think the strength of those alliances depends on what we would take in the right direction to our societies in the right direction. Are, depending on this.
The US Army has more than 80,000 soldiers deployed in Europe, including Ramstein Air Base of Germany.
At the Munich Security Conference last Friday, Vance accused the European governments of “fear of his people” and so wanted to silence them. So he talked about the impact of the search on US Tech veterans.
US media report highlights abusive language laws
Vance’s latest comment was in response to a report by US Broadcaster CBS, which deal with Germany’s online indecent point of view.
Among other things, it showed police officers seizing smartphones and laptops, searching for a house in Lower Saxony.
Vance had earlier criticized the report accusing the German authorities of “criminalization language”, stating that “the real burden on European-American relations”.
Thus the CBS report depicted German public prosecutors, who confirmed that publication is a punishable offices from advancing insults and online insults.
Therefore, German law sets a ban on free speech, including a long restriction on Holocost refusal and any glory of the country’s Nazi past.
The limit of curbing extremism and provocation has inspired the authorities to arrest the internet for making policy and posting the search comments for abusive language.
How has Germany responded?
German government spokesperson Stephen Hebstreit said, “American taxpayers have reacted negatively to Vance’s latest claims to protect Germany,” I still believe in causes and facts. “Hey said he hoped that the exact media report would reach America.
Speaking at his last major campaign program before Sunday’s elections, German Chanman Chainon Olaf Sholaz pushed back on several allegations from within Trump’s internal circle that Germany’s policies against online Hate Crow are “Orwellians”.
“I have nothing against people who become billionaires, but have to become a billionaire because you want people to insult people and break the law are not acceptable,” said Sholaz.
He said, “We will stick to our rules in Europe, for example, Nazi symbols have been banned in Germany,” he said.
