
The Japanese prince, who can become an emperor one day if the succession laws of the country are not replaced, said in his first press conference on Monday that he would try to fulfill his royal duties.
He is in second place behind his father’s Crown Prince Akishino, the younger brother of Emperor Naruhito. Naruhito’s daughter, 23 -year -old Aco, is not eligible as Japanese law, which only male members of the royal family can climb the throne.
Last year at the age of 18, Hishito is planning to start a study at Tsukuba University, north of Tokyo next month, which specializes in biology.
“Note that I am an adult member of the royal family, I intend to fulfill my duties seriously and carefully, while consulting people around me,” said Bhagato.
