Red is a good keyword here, because the spectrum of berry nuances between pink and violet is likely to set the tone in the new season. Raspberry and wine red, bright carmine and colors that extend into orange are combined in tone-on-tone and bring warmth to winter. The warm colors of the autumn forest, from ochre to olive, are also important. The spectrum of blue tones, which sometimes appear almost “icy” and range from turquoise to blue-violet, provide a certain cooling effect. Light neutrals, deep brown tones and black round off the color picture for winter 2025/26. “Winter color is above all harmony of tones and shades,” says the Lineapelle fashion committee. Strong contrasts are rather rare.
Leather in a variety of brown shades will also represent value and naturalness in the winter of next year, but also a focus on the essentials. There is no need for frills here – it is the materials that stand for themselves and are also an expression of a sustainable idea. The surfaces are imaginatively and constantly redesigned. Fur is on the rise again and appears in natural but also bright colors – as an accent or all-over, for example in the progressive boot. Animal prints start with leopard and end with zebra, tiger and lizard embossing. In addition to patent leather, matt shimmering leather remains important. Textiles and technical materials are given new looks through upholstery and quilting. Coarsely woven and crocheted elements set “crafted” accents without appearing old-fashioned. Metallic remains surprisingly important and runs through many tannery collections. Braided and woven leather, perforations and imaginatively processed hides also create a new appeal. And: it can still glitter and shimmer.
