Zalando breaks the mark in terms of active customers

Zalando was able to increase its gross merchandise volume (GMV) for the third quarter by 7.8% to 3.5 billion euros compared to the same period last year. Sales increased by 5.0% to 2.4 billion euros and adjusted EBIT from 23 million euros to 93 million euros. The number of active customers also continued to rise in the third quarter and is now over 50 million.

Following the positive results, Zalando was able to increase its forecast for the full year. GMV growth was originally forecast to range from 0% to 5%. This has been refined to 3% to 5%. The increase in sales was also specified from 0% to 5% to 2% to 5%. Zalando expects an adjusted EBIT of EUR 440 million to EUR 480 million for 2024 instead of EUR 350 million to EUR 450 million. In addition, Zalando is planning capex investments of around 200 million euros in 2024 instead of spending between 250 million euros and 350 million euros.
