Shein brings second-hand platform to Germany

The Chinese ultra-fast fashion giant Shein is launching its second-hand platform “Shein Exchange” in Germany. From now on, customers can resell goods and buy second-hand products. Using new functions, users can view their previous purchases and confirm the resale with one click. Interested customers, on the other hand, have to use the search and filter tools to display used products.

The launch in Germany follows the previous launch in France, Great Britain and the USA. The latter was launched with Exchange in 2022, where, according to the company, over 4.2 million users have registered since then.

Caitrin Watson, Director of Sustainability at Shein, said: “With the launch of the Shein Exchange platform in Germany, we want to offer more customers worldwide the opportunity to take advantage of our straightforward circular economy offer and incentivize them to buy second-hand Shein favorites discover. As Shein Exchange expands into additional markets, our aim is to collect feedback from users and thus continually improve the platform and the second-hand shopping experience at Shein.”
