YouTube premium plans: YouTube has made its premium plans expensive in India. Ads do not appear on YouTube if you take the premium plan. The subscription charge for individual and student plans has increased by 12 to 15 percent. While the family plan is now 58 percent more than before.
Till now the individual premium plan on YouTube was Rs 129 per month. Which has now increased to Rs 149. While the student plan which was earlier Rs 79 per month has increased to Rs 89 per month. The family plan of YouTube Premium was earlier Rs 189, which has now become 58% costlier and is now Rs 299.
The rates of three more plans offered under YouTube’s premium segment have also increased. The monthly rate of the premium plan for individual prepaid has now increased to Rs 159, which was Rs 139 earlier.
The individual quartile (three month) plan has now increased from Rs 399 to Rs 499. Talking about the annual plan, now you will have to pay Rs 200 more for YouTube’s premium annual plan. Earlier, the annual charge for individual premium was Rs 1290, which has now increased to Rs 1490.
Subscribers of YouTube Premium Plans
YouTube had said in February this year that the number of subscribers of YouTube Premium and YouTube Music has reached 10 crores. It was 8 crores in November 2022.
YouTube Premium’s annual share in Google’s subscription business is $15 billion. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google’s parent company Alphabet, said this in January this year.
