On Monday, the head of the military government of Myanmar reached Russia near a prominent ally of the South East Asian nation, who fell away from most of the west to overthrow a democratically elected government and later brutal repression.
Senior General Min Ang Holling, who landed in Moscow on Monday and congratulated by a military orchestra on Termac, with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The report stated that Min Aung Hling, along with other top Russian officials, will discuss bilateral relations, economic matters and security with the aim of strengthening strategic cooperation.
Russia, along with China, is a prominent supporter and weapon supplier of Myanmar’s military government. Russian-made fighter jets are used in attacks on the region under control of ethnic minority groups, many of which are accompanying pro-democracy resistance forces.
Russia defended Myanmar’s military government in international forums, and in the foreign policy of the ruling General General Support Moscow.
Western countries have provoked the ruling military of Myanmar and imposed economic and political sanctions against the opposition against their acquisition and violent repression, killing thousands of citizens and an armed conflict has been widely seen as a citizen.
The visit is ahead of Min Aung Hling for Russia as his army seized power from the elected government of Aung San Suu Ki in February 2021. His previous meeting with Putin was on the edge of the Eastern Economic Forum held in September 2022 in the eastern Russian city of Vladivostok.
