‘Organized factory of hatred’: India rebukes Pakistan in UN

India has launched a sharp attack on Pakistan, condemning Pakistan’s directive to government agencies to label terrorist groups operating in the country as “Fitna al-Hindustan”.

India’s representative to the United Nations described the move as an attempt to institutionalize anti-India rhetoric.

Harish Parvatneni, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, said, “Issuing an official notification directing Pakistan’s government agencies to start referring to groups inside its borders as ‘Fitna al Hindustan’ is nothing more than officially sponsored misinformation and disinformation in religious terminology.”

“This is the result of an organized factory of hatred coming from the interior of Pakistan, aimed at keeping its citizens in a state of permanent enmity with India,” Parvataneni said.

In 2025, the Government of Pakistan officially designated all terrorist groups and organizations operating in the Balochistan province as “Fitna al Hindustan”.

India also criticized Pakistan for its campaign of military air strikes against Afghanistan.

“Clazing a massacre as a military operation does not absolve the perpetrator,” Parvataneni said. “Killing, maiming and orphaning civilians is not countering terrorism.”

Reportedly, around 400 people were killed in Afghanistan in the first three months of this year.
