The Kyiv Pechersk Lavra monastery, a symbol of Ukrainian spiritual and cultural history, caught fire amid heavy Russian attacks on Ukraine overnight. While is “not inconceivable that is was deliberately targeted”, there did not appear to have been a direct missile hit on the buidling, reports France 24’s Gulliver Cragg from the Ukrainian capital.
