A new independent commission finds Hamas and its allies committed “systematic, widespread” sexual violence during their October 7, 2023 attack on Israel and against hostages they took back to Gaza. This comes as the Knesset passed a law establishing a special military tribunal to try Palestinian activists accused of taking part in the October 7 attacks, under which the death penalty could be handed down.
