Russian missile and drone attacks killed at least 13 people and injured several others across Ukraine, local officials said Thursday.
In the capital Kiev, a Russian attack killed a 12-year-old boy and three others, while seven people were killed in the southern port city of Odessa, officials said.
Military administrator Timur Tkachenko said at least 18 people were injured in Kiev, with local media reporting multiple explosions as the missiles struck the city in several waves.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said emergency teams had rescued a mother and child from a building in the city’s central district, where the ground floor was badly damaged.
A missile attack in Dnipro injured at least 27 people and set fire to residential buildings, regional officials said. The condition of five of the injured is critical.

Explosions were reported in several districts, causing damage to residential and commercial buildings. The full extent of the damage and casualties remained unclear.
As the attacks continued since morning, air strike warnings were issued in many areas.
At least one person was killed and six were injured in a Russian drone strike on an apartment block in Odessa on Wednesday evening.
Ukraine’s air force said it shot down or disabled 31 Russian missiles and 636 drones in strikes across the country.
“During this period, the enemy launched two waves of combined strikes on Ukrainian territory using ground-based and air-launched missiles, as well as attack drones,” the Air Force said in a statement on Telegram.
Ukraine’s top diplomatic priority is to win allies’ help to buy and build more air defense systems, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Wednesday after meeting European allies in Germany.
“Every day we need air defense missiles – every day Russia continues its attacks,” Zelensky said in a post on the Telegram messaging app.
