US federal authorities arrested social media influencer brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate.
Marshals Service spokesman Brady McCarron told The Associated Press, which first reported on the arrest, that the warrant had been sealed.
Prosecutors in Britain said they have sought the extradition of the brothers on rape and sex trafficking charges.
Malcolm McHaffie, head of the Special Crimes Division at the Crown Prosecution Service, said, “We have decided to prosecute Andrew and Tristan Tate for other offenses including rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation and offenses relating to indecent images of a child.”

What are the charges against the Tate brothers?
CPS is bringing the following charges:
- Andrew Tate, 39, has been charged with a further seven counts of rape, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and a further 19 counts of offenses relating to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography.
- Tristan Tate, 38, is charged with one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.
The Tate brothers, dual American and British citizens who moved to Romania in 2016, were arrested there in 2022.
He was accused of forming a criminal gang to commit human trafficking and sexually exploit women. — He denied the allegations. The case could not proceed after a Romanian court found legal and procedural irregularities on the part of prosecutors.
Andrew and Tristan Tate, both former kickboxers, are often associated with the “manosphere”, a male-centric social media movement rooted in anti-feminist discourse.
